Philippe Codoni specialises in wealth structuring and estate planning with an international focus and acts in complex, mostly multi-jurisdictional, succession and trust disputes. Michael Felder is a partner in the Litigation & Arbitration Team. He has extensive experience in representing parties in complex arbitration disputes under all major arbitration rules (including ICC, LCIA, WIPO and Swiss Rules) and in ad hoc proceedings. He also sits as an arbitrator, both in commercial and investment arbitrations (ICC, ICSID, Swiss Rules). Michael Felder has acted in arbitrations seated in civil law and common law jurisdictions on disputes governed by laws from around the globe, including English, French, Russian, Delaware law and the laws of a number of Eastern European States. His practice encompasses a broad range of industries, such as pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, distribution, construction, aviation, telecommunication, railway services, and post M&A disputes. Michael Felder has published numerous articles on commercial and investment arbitration, including more than one hundred reports on arbitration decisions of the Swiss Federal Supreme Court. Michael Felder is regularly invited to speak at arbitration conferences.
Michael Felder’s recent victories for his clients include rescinding a share purchase agreement in the value of one billion Russian rubles for fraudulent misrepresentation, fending off a post-M&A claim with an amount at stake exceeding one hundred million US dollars and defending against the extension of an arbitration agreement to a non-signatory under Swiss and French law.

Michael Felder was educated at Zurich University (lic. iur. 1999, Dr. iur. 2007 awarded with the Issekutz Prize) and New York University (LL.M. 2009, Dean's Graduate Award Scholar). He worked as a law clerk, as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Zurich and as a senior associate in the international arbitration practice group of a major law firm in London.

Johnathan Mayers deals primarily with international and national M&A transactions, public takeovers, private equity transactions, IPOs, debt financing, corporate governance and matters relating to company, stock exchange transaction and capital market law in general. He has overseen numerous transactions in these areas. He also prepares legal opinions in matters of law on stock exchange transactions, company law, law of obligations and law on civil procedure, as well as publishing articles and lecturing at the University of Zurich in his preferred fields of activity.
After having studied at the University of Zurich (lic. iur. 2002), he was admitted to the Zurich Bar (2005) and obtained a Doctor of Law at the University of Zurich (2006) (summa cum laude) in Corporate Law and Financial Restructuring Law. The venia legendi for Commercial Law and Civil Action Law was given to him in 2011 by the University of Zurich. In 2018, he was appointed as adjunct professor at the University of Zurich. The subject of his professorial thesis is about the enforcement of shareholder rights. He teaches courses at the University of Zurich and is an alternate judge at the district court of Uster (Canton of Zurich). He is Co-Chair of the Zurich Bar’s Commercial Law Practice Group. Before joining our firm, Johnathan Mayers worked for several years at a large and a mid-sized law firm in Zurich.
